Back from Yoga Journal Conference Whew! What an amazing weekend. It was great to be in the presence of Sharon and David (creators of Jivamukti yoga, my teachers) all weekend long, and to watch them teach such a wide range of classes to such a wide range of people. Seeing them in action is inspiring and uplifting, and really reminds me that even a challenging practice like Jivamukti can be done by everyone. Being their assistant was such a tremendous opportunity, as I had the chance to adjust many different and new people, and (hopefully & humbly) give them an insight as to the grace and power of this practice.

I had an opportunity to see B.K.S. Iyengar give several speeches, and even sat near him at a special dinner one evening - at the end of which I got to bow down at his feet! How exciting...although you may also be thinking, 'how wierd!'. It's actually a really humble practice to bow before a master like that - sort of reminding yourself that you don't know everything, and you don't have to know everything because there are masters who have paved the way for you, and made it a slightly easier road. He's certainly one of those masters, and has no doubt paved the way for us asana fanatics. May we be inspired by our teachers to live up to their achievements and go beyond them.

I hope that all of you enjoy my newest broadcast - it's another 20 minute session. Please let me know how you like it, and what you'd like to see more of.

Namaste,

Alanna
